MUN encourages students to think critically, communicate confidently, and understand the complexity of international relations. It plays an important role in supporting TSI’s commitment to developing globally minded learners who are prepared for future academic and professional pathways.
What is Model United Nations?
Model United Nations is an educational simulation in which students take on the role of delegates representing different countries or organisations at a mock United Nations conference.
During MUN conferences, students:
- Research real-world global issues
- Represent assigned countries or viewpoints
- Debate, negotiate, and collaborate with peers
- Draft and present formal resolutions
- Practise public speaking and diplomacy in a structured setting
MUN at TSI
The TSI MUN programme is designed to challenge and inspire students while providing a supportive environment for skill development.
Students participating in MUN at TSI:
- Explore current global, political, social, and humanitarian issues
- Learn the procedures and protocols of international diplomacy
- Build confidence in public speaking and formal debate
- Develop leadership, teamwork, and negotiation skills
Conferences and Participation
In 2026, we also hosted our first student-led ‘TSIMUN’ conference which included 136 students from 27 schools.
