Thai Language and Culture
Thai Language and Culture is taught by specialist teachers to all TSIS students (Nursery – Year 5) to help students learn and appreciate the culture and language of our host country. The specialist teachers are Thai nationals who cater for children of different abilities. Special Thai cultural events such as Loy Kratong and Songkran are arranged to enrich the curriculum for all students.
Additional Languages (Punjabi, Hindi and Mandarin)
From the beginning of Key Stage 1, TSIS offers Punjabi, Hindi or Mandarin. These subjects are taught by specialist teachers who cater for students of varying language abilities. In addition to language, they also teach aspects of the associated culture. Throughout the school year, the specialist teachers arrange activities for students to learn about and celebrate special festivals.
